Watch: Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech unlocks Newcastle defence with brilliant cross

Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech has an absolute wand of a left foot, as he has already shown since making his move to London from Ajax.

Federico Fernandez’s own goal and Tammy Abraham’s strike helped the Blues to a 2-0 win over Newcastle United but Ziyech managed to provide his own moment of genius.

Considering the position he found himself in, there was no way that he should have been able to create so much danger for the Magpies defence.

Yet he managed to do it, cutting through the men in black and white stripes to land the ball right on Tammy Abraham’s head, with the striker only being denied by a strong hand from Karl Darlow.

As the commentator said during the clip below, it looks like Morocco international could be an “assist machine” for Chelsea, and it is likely his team-mates will be licking their lips watching deliveries like this going into the box.
