Watch: Chelsea’s Hudson-Odoi pulls off stunning backheel nutmeg pass

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi wowed fans this weekend with an audacious backheel nutmeg pass during his side’s victory over Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

Hudson-Odoi, making just his second Premier League appearance of the season for the Blues, pulled off the remarkable skill in the 38th minute of the match after being passed the ball just over the halfway line by team-mate Ben Chilwell.

The 20-year-old then preceded to allow the ball to pass through his legs before casually stretching his right foot out backwards and knocking the ball through the legs of Saints full-back Tino Livramento in a quick 1-2 move with Chilwell.

The moment undoubtedly served as a timely reminder of the talent of the young forward, who has found playing opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of manager Thomas Tuchel.

Hudson-Odoi’s piece of brilliance was just one of many highlights for Chelsea fans however, during what was an impressive 3-1 victory over Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side – a result which sent Chelsea back to the top of the Premier League table.
