Watch: Crazy Madrid derby ends 7-3, Diego Costa sent off after hat-trick
There was quite the friendly going on overnight, as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid played out an absolutely bonkers 7-3 friendly.
Of course, Diego Costa was at the centre of it all, and the man clearly doesn’t believe in friendlies. He scored a first-half hat-trick, opening by linking up with new boy Joao Felix in the first minute, before capping it off in the 45th.
Atletico were leading 5-0 at half-time, with goals from Angel Correa and Felix adding to Costa’s hat-trick. The striker then added a sixth, his fourth, early in the second half. This was Atleti six goals ahead against a near full-strength city rivals, featuring Thibaut Courtois in goal and Sergio Ramos, Nacho and Marcelo in defence.
No wonder that frustrated Dani Carvajal, who was soon shown a red card for taking out his frustration and scrapping with Costa.
Shortly after, Diego Simeone entirely rotated the nine outfielders on the pitch, and the game ended 7-3. Watch some of our favourite moments from the batsh*t friendly below:

Incredible from Diego Costa. Scores four against Real Madrid, then gets a red card for Atletico Madrid. Dani Carvajal sees red for Los Blancos. pic.twitter.com/4GmDS1kvw9
