Watch: Dani Ceballos & Eddie Nketiah have angry shoving match in warm-up
Arsenal are looking to start their Premier League season with a win against newly-promoted Fulham – but their pre-match preparations didn’t exactly go smoothly at Craven Cottage.
Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah had to be separated by team-mates after a game of rondo got a bit heated, with Ceballos first jumping in on Nketiah and then bizarrely pushing the young forward as though he was the one in the wrong.
Words were exchanged between the two and then when the game restarted and the ball went to Nketiah, he smashed the ball at Ceballos, with the Spaniard once again leading some shoving before Nketiah was led away.
Asked whether it was a bit much on BT Sport, Rio Ferdinand didn’t see it as an issue: “You’d see that once or twice a week at the training ground, it’s just that we happen to be here, we’ve seen.
“I’m sure Arteta wouldn’t be too disappointed to see that.”
It didn’t seem to affect anything on the pitch, with Alexandre Lacazette, debutant Gabriel and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earning the Gunners a 3-0 win.
