Watch: De Gea is mobbed by Solskjaer and Man Utd players after penalty save

Manchester United's David de Gea celebrates after saving a penalty.

Manchester United beat West Ham 2-1 at the London Stadium thanks to a last-minute penalty save from David De Gea.

West Ham took the lead in the 30th minute when Said Benrahma’s strike from outside the area went in after taking a huge deflection off Raphael Varane.

Cristiano Ronaldo equalised from close range moments later, making it four goals in his first four appearances for United this season.

Jesse Lingard, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, came off the bench and fired into the top corner in the 89th minute.

But West Ham were given a chance to equalise when Luke Shaw was adjudged to have handballed in the box. Mark Noble was brought off the bench to take the penalty but saw his effort saved by De Gea and United held on for the win.

After the full-time whistle, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the United players went to congratulate the goalkeeper, who had saved a penalty for the first time since April 2016.
