Watch: Dean Henderson nearly scores from inside his own penalty area

If Manchester United aren’t going to give Dean Henderson a go in goal, perhaps they should give him an opportunity up front, judging by his effort in Sheffield United’s FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.

Henderson, on loan from Manchester United, started the Blades’ FA Cup Quarter-Final clash against Arsenal and couldn’t prevent Nicolas Pepe from converting his penalty in the first-half.

The 23-year-old took matters into his own hands and almost equalised in the second half by launching a ridiculous drop-kick up the field from inside his own penalty area.

Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez quickly backtracked towards his own goal but the ball’s bounce sent it over the bar for a goal kick.

United eventually equalised through David McGoldrick in the 87th minute, only for Dani Ceballos to score an injury-time winner to send the Gunners to Wembley.
