Watch: Ethan Galbraith scores superb long-range strike for Man Utd U23s

Ethan Galbraith enhanced his burgeoning reputation with a stunning drive from long range in Manchester United Under-23s’ thumping 6-2 win over their Derby Country counterparts.

Already a senior Northern Ireland international at the age of 19, Galbraith made his United debut in a Europa League clash with Astana in November 2019.

A year later, Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough described the midfielder as “our little Iniesta or Xavi”, and the iconic Spain duo would have been proud of Galbraith’s strike on Monday.

Another exciting prospect, Anthony Elanga, gave United the lead in the first minute, only for Derby to hit back and go 2-1 up just after the half-hour mark.

Galbraith equalised two minutes later before goals from Elanga once more, Omari Forson and a Shola Shoretire brace confirmed a resounding victory.

Despite the competition, the goal of the game undoubtedly belonged to Galbraith.
