Watch: Everton target Denzel Dumfries misses sitter for Netherlands at Euros
Everton target Denzel Dumfries missed a close-range header for the Netherlands against Ukraine that would have been easier to score.
Dumfries has been linked with a move to Goodison Park as they look to find a replacement for club stalwart Seamus Coleman.
But the 25-year-old full-back will be hoping Everton scouts weren’t watching Sunday’s European Championship match in Amsterdam.
The Netherlands had shaded an excellent, but goalless, first half when Dumfries found himself unmarked at the back post.
He was found by a deep cross but headed down and wide of goalkeeper’s Heorhiy Bushchan net.
Dumfries is also being tracked by AC Milan and Napoli, so Everton will be hoping to secure his signature as the club look to rebuild following the end of the Carlo Ancelotti era.
