Watch: Evra checks what Souness is drinking after he loses his sh*t over VAR

Patrice Evra drew the short straw on Sunday and had to sit between Roy Keane and Graeme Souness in the Sky Sports studio during Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United, but the Frenchman did so with typical good humour.

On a heated afternoon in the studio, Souness and Keane argued before the game about the plaudits given to Liverpool in recent months, and tension only rose at half-time during a debate over the decision to disallow a stunning strike from Roberto Firmino following a VAR review.

Virgil van Dijk was adjudged to have fouled David de Gea while challenging the goalkeeper in the air for a high ball, despite even Gary Neville insisting in commentary the goal should stand.

Souness was furious at half-time, prompting some cheekiness Evra, who thought the goal should have been disallowed and checked to see what the former Liverpool hero was drinking.
