Watch: Haaland scores audacious acrobatic volley in Revierderby

This week has been dominated by talk of a new Ballon D’or battle between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, but it was the Borussia Dortmund man who pulled off another moment of magic on Saturday.

Despite the form of the Norwegian, it has been a disappointing campaign for Dortmund so far, with Edin Terzic’s men sat in sixth place with 21 games played.

But Haaland continues to provide moments of pure joy.

He followed up his midweek brace against Sevilla with an outstanding volley, this time against arch-rivals Schalke.

Sancho’s cross was clipped toward’s the 20-year-old just inside the penalty area, and not even the close attentions of a defender could stop him.

Leaping into the air, Haaland twisted his body, firing a fantastic volley into the far corner to make it 2-0 after Sancho had given the visitors the lead.

It was his 16th goal of the season in the Bundesliga and a big-money move away seems to draw closer and closer.
