Watch: Hannibal Mejbri pulls off cheeky nutmeg on his Man Utd debut

Despite only playing for 10 minutes, Hannibal Mejbri was still able to showcase his skills during Manchester United‘s 2-1 win over Wolves.

Mejbri, who was signed from Monaco in 2019 for a reported fee of £9.3million, is regarded as one of the best young prospects at United.

After registering four goals and eight assists in Premier League 2, he was named as United’s Under-23s Player of the Year for 2020-21.

“It’s a very proud moment for me and my family,” Mejbri told United’s official website. “I will say thank you to the coaches, to my team-mates and everyone who helped me. Thank you very much.

“I think the Under-23s league was good, we did well with a young team and I think we all learned some things. The coach helped us a lot, with our technical [play] and how we need to work.

“For me, personally, it was good. I learned a lot. I had to be stronger. I was more consistent in the games and I had more goals and assists than the season before. It’s always good to take that step, so it was good.”

The 18-year-old was then rewarded with his senior debut against Wolves, replacing Juan Mata in the 82nd minute.

He showcased some impressive footwork during his brief cameo and even embarrassed Willy Boly with a cheeky nutmeg.
