Paul Pogba was expected to have left Manchester United this summer – but he certainly doesn’t seem too disappointed to be sticking around.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, said in July that the midfielder wanted to leave Old Trafford, with Real Madrid reportedly interested, but the Daily Telegraph reported this week that United would not entertain any offers before the transfer window closes for the remainder of Europe.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be encouraged by Pogba’s attitude since returning for pre-season – and he will certainly have been pleased by his contribution in the opening game of the season against Chelsea in which he laid on two goals.
And though Pogba said “there’s always that question mark” when asked about his future following that game, he’s quite clearly content with life at the moment judging by his behaviour in training on Wednesday when he rolled around laughing with Fred.
