Watch: Ian Wright celebrates next to Glen Hoddle as Arsenal beat Spurs
Ian Wright couldn’t hide his delight as Arsenal secured a convincing 3-1 win over Tottenham in the north London derby.
Arsenal had a dreadful start to the Premier League season, losing against Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City in their first three games. But Mikel Arteta’s side started to turn things around with narrow 1-0 wins over Norwich City and Burnley.
The Gunners then faced Tottenham at the Emirates and completely ripped their rivals to shreds with a brilliant first-half performance.
Emile Smith Rowe broke the deadlock before the scorer turned provider as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got the second in the 27th minute.
Bukayo Saka made it 3-0 moments later, becoming the youngest player in Premier League history to register a goal and assist in the north London derby.
Wright, who made 288 appearances for Arsenal, is now working as a pundit and covered the north London derby alongside Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle.
The 57-year-old celebrated each of Arsenal’s goals emphatically while a devastated Hoddle sat speechless on the other side of the room.
