Watch: Jadon Sancho says Paul Scholes is his all-time favourite Man Utd legend

Manchester United stars Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Luke Shaw have shared their thoughts on their favourite Old Trafford legends, the trophies they most want to win, which of their teammates they think has the best goal celebrations and more in a light-hearted interview with UMM.

Sancho, who arrived at United following a £73million transfer from Dortmund last summer, has enjoyed a promising start to the his debut season at the club, with the Red Devils currently sitting top of the Premier League and spoke of his admiration for club legends Eric Cantona, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney.

“They’re all legends,” Sancho told UMM. “I can’t pick one they’re just all legends.”

The 21-year-old later reluctantly added, when pushed to pick which player who thought was the greatest, “Okay if you want it, Paul Scholes.”

The winger also opened up during the interview about which competition who would most like to win as a player when given the options of the Premier League, the Champions League or the World Cup, saying: “The World cup – the whole country if we won that, it’s another lockdown.”

Teammate, and fellow England star, Shaw also gave a similar answer when given the question adding: “The World Cup, it has to be the World Cup, as much as I’d love to win the other two the World Cup is different.”

Shaw, who was one of the standout players from last summers Euros, also revealed during the interview which player in the United squad he believed had the best goal celebrations, saying: “I think it has to be Eddie [Edinson] Cavani’s.”

Team captain Maguire also gave his thoughts on the debate, stating: “I’d go with Edinson. He means business when he does his celebrations, it’s a celebration but he’s serious about it as well so I’d go with him.”

Maguire, who is now entering his third season as a United player, also added during the interview his thoughts on which of PSG trio Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe or Neymar was the best.

“Messi,” the centre-back said. “What he’s done of the last 10 years, him and Cristiano have been streets ahead of every other player in terms of the goals.”
