Jadon Sancho enjoyed a wonderful 2018-19 campaign with Borussia Dortmund – and he looks in fine fettle to improve on it judging by his goal against Seattle Sounders.
Sancho contributed 12 goals and 14 assists for Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season, leading to reports of interest from Manchester United.
He now looks set to remain at Westfalenstadion, but his goal in a 3-1 friendly win in Seattle served as a reminder of why so many people have sat up and taken notice of the 19-year-old.
Picking the ball up on the right, he cut inside and drifted between four players before powering to the edge of the box and firing low inside the post under pressure from two more defenders.
Yeah, he’s pretty good.
Marius Wolf had earlier put Dortmund in front before Paco Alcacer made it 2-0 shortly after half-time when he intercepted a pass out from the keeper before beautifully lobbing it back over and into the back of the net.
Paco Alcacer has really ruined this goalkeeper's day.pic.twitter.com/1J3XuY2tg3
