Watch: Jurgen Klopp blasts back at Roy Keane…and Keane backs down

It takes a special kind of person to go up against Roy Keane – but Jurgen Klopp did it and won after Liverpool‘s 3-1 win over Arsenal on Monday night.

Alan Shearer tried and had some success, and Mick Mccarthy…well, the less said the better.

However, Klopp going against Keane might be the best thing we’ve seen in 2020.

Liverpool went behind to an Alexandre Lacazette goal in the opening 25 minutes at Anfield before Sadio Mane immediately hit back.

Andrew Robertson added the second before new signing Diego Jota recorded his first Liverpool goal to round off a dominant 3-1 victory.

Such was Liverpool’s dominance that they recorded a whopping 677 passes to Arsenal’s meer 295, with Virgil Van Dijk racking up 117 of them.

So, when Klopp heard Keane call Liverpool’s performance ‘sloppy’, he was not impressed at all.

“They gave up one or two opportunities which they’ll be disappointed with.

“I’m not sure if I heard him right, it cannot be this game. This was absolutely exceptional; nothing was sloppy.

“From the first second of the game, we were dominant against a team in form.”

In fact, Klopp got so mad that Keane ended up being the one who seemingly backed off the Liverpool boss and tried to calm him down.

What would Sir Alex think of Roy now?
