Watch: Jurgen Klopp can’t help but laugh after Liverpool concede second
Jurgen Klopp tried his best to see the funny side of Liverpool‘s dramatic 4-3 victory over RB Salzburg in the Champions League – despite his side almost blowing a three-goal lead.
Goals from Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson and Mo Salah gave Liverpool a commanding lead at Anfield, only for the Austrian visitors to mount a stunning fightback.
Hwang Hee-chan, Takumi Minamino and Erling Braut Haaland all struck to see Salzburg level the game at 3-3.
Salah came to the Reds’ rescue by putting his side back into a lead which they held on to secure all three points.
After the match, Klopp said: “After the game I thought I was angry, but then I realised I am not angry! Even at 3-3 I was no unduly worried…because I know the character we have.”
And the Liverpool boss did cut a relaxed figure after Salzburg scored their second, affording himself a little chuckle which the cameras picked up on.
