Watch: Kaide Gordon scores first goals for Liverpool with brace for Under-18s

Kaide Gordon showed why he’s so highly-rated with a brace during Liverpool Under-18s 4-1 win over Wolves Under-18s.
Gordon came through the ranks at Derby County and made his senior debut earlier this season, coming off the bench in a 4–0 win against Birmingham City in December 2020.
Despite being linked with Manchester United and Tottenham, he joined Liverpool in February 2021 for an initial fee of £1million, which could rise to £3million with add-ons.
The right winger was making his fifth appearance for Liverpool Under-18s against Wolves, scoring his first goals in a red shirt.
Gordon picked up the ball on the edge of the area before driving forward and firing past the goalkeeper in the 75th minute.
He then won a penalty following a brilliant solo run and stepped up to score the spot-kick in injury time.
“Kaide is a good player, there’s no two ways about that,” manager Marc Bridge-Wilkinson told the Liverpool Echo after the game. “He is a lot younger than everyone else. He’s only 16 and he’s still at school.
“He has adapted to a new environment well and is starting to show what he can do. It was only a matter of time before he was among the goals so I’m really pleased for him.”
