Watch: Lionel Messi has heated clash with Joan Jordan during Barca defeat

Lionel Messi couldn’t hide his frustrations during Barcelona‘s 2-0 defeat to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg.

Barcelona have endured a difficult season so far and are currently eight points behind runaway La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid having played a game more.

They then saw their Copa del Rey hopes take a huge hit as reported Manchester United target Jules Kounde gave Sevilla the lead with a superb solo goal before Ivan Rakitic made it 2-0 with a ruthless finish.

Messi struggled to make a major impact on the game but did leave Joan Jordan holding his face during the second half.

After Jordan tried to prevent Barcelona from taking a quick free-kick, a frustrated Messi knocked the ball out of his hands, putting his arm across the midfielder in the process.

The 26-year-old then went down holding his face and was stunned when he received a yellow card for the incident, while Messi went unpunished.

Having recently received the first red card of his club career, is Messi losing his rag?.
