Watch: Lionel Messi pays tribute to Diego Maradona after Barca stunner

Lionel Messi celebrated his stunning goal in Barcelona‘s 4-0 victory over Osasuna by revealing a Diego Maradona Newell’s Old Boys shirt underneath his Barca kit.

The man who Messi credits with inspiring him to be a footballer, Maradona passed away earlier this week at the age of 60.

Between 1993 and 1994, Maradona made five appearances for Messi’s boyhood club in Rosario, Newell’s Old Boys.

And after his beautiful strike wrapped up a 4-0 win for Barca over Osasuna on Sunday, Messi removed his Barcelona shirt to reveal a Newell’s shirt adorned by Maradona’s No.10, the number which Messi himself has inherited with Argentina.

It goes without saying that we absolutely love this.
