Watch: Liverpool loanee Brewster scores thumping strike for Swansea

On-loan Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster scored his seventh goal of the season in Swansea’s 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Brewster is highly regarded at Anfield and has been in excellent goalscoring form since joining the Championship side on loan in January.

The Swans needed three points against Wednesday to keep their play-off dream alive, but they were well below par in the first-half.

Brewster then broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute, holding off a defender before smashing a half-volley past the goalkeeper.

Andre Ayew doubled their advantage from the penalty spot before Atdhe Nuhiu scored a late consolation for the Owls.

Swansea are now eighth in the table, four points behind sixth placed Cardiff City.
