Watch: Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson scores for Cardiff v Bournemouth

Harry Wilson opened his account for Cardiff City with his first goal since joining on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool in their Championship clash with his former club Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

Stepping up to the Premier League after an impressive campaign at Derby County in the second tier, Wilson was loaned out to Bournemouth last term only to suffer relegation with the south coast club.

The winger was the subject to plenty of speculation over the summer amid rumours of a permanent switch to a number of top-flight clubs, including Leeds United and Burnley, with the latter reportedly seeing a bid rejected by Liverpool.

Instead, Wilson once more dropped down a division to the Championship by joining Cardiff on deadline day, making his debut in the Welsh outfit’s 1-0 win at Preston.

And the 23-year-old marked his home debut with his new club by scoring a second-half equaliser after another former Liverpool man, Dominic Solanke, had given Bournemouth the lead.
