Watch: Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott cuts through defence with pre-assist

Despite starting on the bench for Blackburn’s 3-0 win against Preston, Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott still managed to showcase his incredible passing range.
Eliott, who made eight appearances for the Reds in 2019-20, joined the Championship side on a season-long loan deal in search of regular first-team football.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, registering a goal and four assists in his first eight appearances in all competitions.
With Blackburn leading 2-0 against Preston on Tuesday, he came on as a second-half substitute and made an immediate impact.
The winger picks up the ball inside his own half and perfectly feeds Ben Brereton, who squares to Tyrhys Dolan for the tap-in.
However, he received treatment shortly afterwards following a strong challenge by Ryan Ledson and had to be substituted.
“The early news is that we’re hoping it’s not a bad one,” Rovers manager Tony Mowbray said after the game. “It’s just a kick really.
“It’s come up swollen pretty quickly but it’s a bruise and it doesn’t look like it’s bad damage around the knee area like the ligaments. It’s just a pretty severe kick and that’s what we’re hoping it is.”
