Watch: Liverpool loanee Ryan Kent drops Scott Brown with punch to face

The Old Firm Derby lived up to expectations yet again as Liverpool loanee Ryan Kent punched Celtic captain Scott Brown in the face – but managed to escape joining two other Rangers players in being sent off in a 2-1 defeat at Parkhead.

Celtic took the lead through Odsonne Edouard midway through the second half, minutes before Alfredo Morelos received a red card, with Brown visibly laughing at the striker as he trudged off the field.

But Kent equalised after the break, only for James Forrest to score a late winner for the hosts, and Rangers’ Andy Halliday saw red after the full-time whistle as the players clashed once more.

It was a typically fiery encounter between the two sides, with Kent somehow avoiding a red card himself, despite dropping Brown with a punch which did not miss.
