Watch: Liverpool’s Curtis Jones pulls off nutmeg on former Man Utd defender

Liverpool’s youngest ever team got a 1-0 win against Shrewbsury Town in an FA Cup replay – and Curtis Jones was their standout player again.

The 19-year-old has already netted two cup goals this season, a winner against Everton in the third round and a strike in the 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury.

Jones was given the armband for the evening and became their youngest-ever captain, and he certainly rose to the occasion.

Former Manchester United defender Ro-Shaun Williams attempted to mark him near the corner flag, but the midfielder showcased his skills and knocked the ball through his legs.

Jones then tried to work his way towards goal but won a free-kick for his side after Williams cynically brought him down.

Jones was clearly full of confidence at Anfield as the captain also tried to create an opportunity for his team-mates by producing a rabona cross.

Ro-Shaun Williams’ night then got even worse as the defender scored an own goal which sent Liverpool into the next round of the FA Cup.
