Watch: Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott gets assist against Arsenal Under-23s

After impressing on loan at Blackburn, Liverpool‘s Harvey Elliott carried his excellent club form onto the international stage.

Elliott has been a revelation for Tony Mowbray’s side this season, registering five goals and 10 assists in 33 Championship appearances.

“From what I’ve seen up to now, he’s going to be in the Premier League for sure,” Blackburn’s Stewart Downing recently told Goal.

“I know [Bournemouth manager] Jonathan Woodgate well, and he’s quite close to [Liverpool sporting director] Michael Edwards. He asked me about Harvey when he came to Blackburn, and I was like ‘f*cking hell, he’s brilliant!’

“It’s his game-understanding when to pass the ball, when to dribble, when to come inside, when to stay wide. For someone so young, it’s top-drawer.”

The midfielder was called up to England Under-19s, who played against Arsenal Under-23s in a friendly at St. George’s Park.

England secured a comfortable 6-1 win and Elliott set up one of their goals with a brilliant first-time pass.
