Watch: Liverpool’s Mo Salah skips past Norwich players during mazy solo run

Mohamed Salah celebrates scoring for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah picked up where he left off last season with a Man of the Match performance in Liverpool‘s 3-0 win over Norwich City.

Salah got the assist for Diogo Jota’s opener and then selflessly crossed for substitute Roberto Firmino to double Liverpool’s lead.

The 29-year-old made it 3-0 in the 74th minute, becoming the first player in Premier League history to score on five consecutive opening weekends.

But the real highlight of the game came when he showcased his incredible strength and dribbling ability to skip past three Norwich players. Salah tried to pick out a team-mate but saw his cross diverted into Tim Krul’s gloves.

“He’s the first-ever player to score five opening weekends in a row? I would have assumed he knew about it and wanted to score,” Jurgen Klopp said after the game.

“He would have had extra motivation! So yes, he played a really good game. When you know about that [stat] and you set up the first two goals, it is really cool and then after that he had scored, he tried to find Sadio [Mane] twice, so it was really good.

“Mo is Mo and when the competition starts he goes into the next gear because he is a proper competitive boy and that is good to have him.”
