Watch: Liverpool’s Sadio Mane provides two assists in Senegal win

Liverpool and Senegal forward Sadio Mane

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane continued his impressive start to the season with two assists for Senegal during their World Cup qualifier against Namibia.

Mane endured a difficult 2020-21 campaign but has already scored five goals for Liverpool this year amid a set of improved performances.

And the 29-year-old has carried that form over into a Senegal shirt as his country booked their place in the African World Cup play-offs with a 3-1 win yesterday.

Mane provided two assists during the match in Johannesburg. The first was a sweeping cross that was headed home by former Bristol City striker Famara Diedhiou to open the scoring.

And the same player completed his hat-trick with five minutes remaining after capitalising on Mane’s drilled pass across the penalty area.
