Watch: Thiago looks stunned after being subbed off by Jurgen Klopp

While Liverpool secured a much-needed 1-0 win over Wolves, it proved to be another frustrating evening for Thiago.

Since joining Jurgen Klopp’s side in 2020, the midfielder has struggled to recapture the form he displayed during his seven years at Bayern Munich.

“I don’t read a word about what people talk about me,” Thiago recently told TNT Sports.  “I know that I receive some criticism about my performances, but I’m not happy with my performance since I came here.

“A new club, a strange situation, I had a strong injury, so get to into the rhythm it was hard, but it’s not an excuse.”

The Spain international started alongside Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum at Wolves but failed to make a major impact on the game.

After the hosts were controversially denied an early penalty, Liverpool’s Diogo Jota came back to haunt his former club by breaking the deadlock on the stroke of half-time.

Thiago was replaced by Naby Keita in the 67th minute and certainly didn’t look happy about the decision.
