Watch: Thiago showcases ridiculous technique and skills in Spain training

Thiago Alcantara is yet to live up to expectations at Liverpool but as the old saying goes, form is temporary and class is permanent.

Having played an integral role in Bayern Munich’s treble success in 2019-20, Thiago arrived in Merseyside with a big reputation.

But the midfielder has endured a tough first year in the Premier League after a number of injuries as well as a stretch of poor form.

“I don’t read a word about what people talk about me,” Thiago recently told TNT Sports.  “I know that I receive some criticism about my performances, but I’m not happy with my performance since I came here.

“A new club, a strange situation, I had a strong injury, so get to into the rhythm it was hard, but it’s not an excuse.”

Thiago has impressed alongside Fabinho in recent weeks and is currently with the Spain squad ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

During a recent training session, he displayed his incredible control and passing range with Manchester City’s Rodri.
