Watch: Lukaku shows off stepovers & sharp shooting in Chelsea training

Romelu Lukaku is back at Chelsea and has been getting Blues fans’ pulses racing by demonstrating some fancy footwork and accurate finishing at the club’s Cobham training ground.

Tuesday was Lukaku’s first session with his team-mates after his £97.5million return to Chelsea from Inter Milan. The move comes a decade after the Belgian forward first signed for the club as a teenager.

Chelsea’s Twitter feed showed that in the session, he went through some possession exercises with his team-mates before moving on to finishing practice.

That is clearly where Lukaku feels most at home and he displayed that twice, first with two stepovers before hitting the bottom left corner of the target, then with two more stepovers before tucking the ball into the other side of the goal.

According to Lukaku, though, goals are not all he will bring.

He told the Chelsea website: “I just feel more complete. I’ve tried to master all the facets that a striker needs and I just want to keep improving on the small details all the time and keep improving on my strengths as well.
