It seems the new players at Arsenal are settling in perfectly as they are currently handing a drubbing to a helpless Everton.
But not only are Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang catching the eye, but the old dogs are up to their usual tricks as well.
In fact, away from Ozil, Aaron Ramsey’s brace means he has now played a direct part in 100 goals for Arsenal, with 52 goals and 48 assists.
And then we saw the former Dortmund pair, reunited on deadline day when Aubameyang finally completed his move to the Emirates, link up brilliantly for Arsenal’s fourth goal, as the Gabon international finished neatly with a chip over Jordan Pickford.
However he also showed that he is capable of forming an effective partnership with Arsenal’s mainstays too, as shown in this clip of a wonderful breakaway, all thanks to one pass.
Alex Iwobi shows great strength just outside his own box to win back possession and set Ozil free. And then, before you know it, he’s played a phenomenal curved pass to set Aubameyang in on goal.
Unfortunately, the new boy can’t beat Pickford this time, but the link-up with the pass and the run is sublime to watch.
These players knew how to make their mark.
