Watch: Man City’s Phil Foden skips past two players with double roulette

Phil Foden scored the decisive goal in Manchester City‘s 1-0 win over Brighton – but the real moment of the game came when he utterly humiliated two defenders.

Foden has helped fill the void left by David Silva at the Etihad this season, becoming an integral player for Pep Guardiola’s side.

“He is one of the more incredible players I have seen at that age,” Guardiola said in December 2020.

“In the Barcelona academy I trained players of that age who were incredible and they made long careers. They had the mentality Phil has and this is the most important thing.

“He has everything to play with us, we are in love with this guy. He has everything to become something unique and special.”

The England international started against the Seagulls and scored his eighth goal of the season in the 44th minute, but even better than that was the skill he produced in the second half.

Under pressure from Davy Propper and Adam Webster, he looked set to lose the ball but produced a double roulette to get away from both opponents before winning a free-kick.
