Watch: Man Utd fans chant ‘SIUUUU’ after Cristiano Ronaldo scores

Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a brilliant second Manchester United debut as his new side beat Newcastle 4-1 at Old Trafford. 

Ronaldo received a warm welcome from the fans before the game and didn’t disappoint, scoring a brace for the home side,

After scoring both of his goals, the Portugal international did his iconic celebration, launching himself into the air, turning 180 degrees and bellowing ‘SIUUU’ as he lands with outstretched arms. 

The jubilant United fans then responded by shouting ‘SIUUU’ and the sound echoed around Old Trafford. 

“I started to say ‘Si’, which is like ‘yes’ when I was at Real Madrid. When we win, everyone says ‘SIUUU’ and I started to say it, I don’t know why. It was natural,” Ronaldo told DAZN Italia in 2019.

“I scored a goal and I did that [the celebration]. People asked me why did I do it and I don’t know why. It was natural! Because I always say, the best things come in a natural way.”
