Watch: Man Utd’s De Gea fumes and punches tunnel as he walks off pitch

Manchester United‘s David de Gea was visibly fuming as he walked off the pitch during the 2-0 derby defeat to Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s men heaped the misery on De Gea and his team-mates after a ridiculously dominant victory at Old Trafford.

De Gea couldn’t be blamed for the visitors’ early opener as Eric Bailly came up with a brilliant striker’s near-post finish to put the ball into his own net, while he went on to make a number of impressive and important saves as the first half wore on.

However, the Spanish goalkeeper could perhaps be faulted for his failure to get in the way of Bernardo Silva’s far-post finish, which doubled City’s advantage at the break.

Whether or not De Gea could have done better for Silva’s goal, he can justifiably be angry at Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw failing to deal with Joao Cancelo’s cross. Either way – he looked livid as he trudged off the pitch at half-time, punching the tunnel as he returned to the dressing room.
