Watch: Man Utd’s Facundo Pellistri scores against Man City’s Under-23s

Facundo Pellistri maintained his impressive form for Manchester United‘s Under-23s with a goal against local rivals Manchester City.
Pellistri impressed under Diego Forlan at Uruguayan side Penarol before moving to United in a £9million deal on deadline day.
The 18-year-old has been training with the first team following his arrival at Old Trafford and regularly features for their Under-23s.
“He’s a young boy coming over and it’s all new for him,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Manchester United’s official website. “He’ll need a few games in the reserves, of course, to try to find his feet in a new country.
“It’s been very positive so far and he’s someone we’ll be patient with and we’ll give him time to settle in and get used to us.”
He started in the Under-23s derby and showed great composure to put United 2-1 in front after excellent work from Ethan Laird.
The winger now has three goals in his last three appearances for their Under-23s and will be hoping to make his first-team debut in the near future.
