Watch: Man Utd’s Paul Pogba misses chance after brilliant Luke Shaw cross

Paul Pogba spurned a great chance to score during Manchester United‘s game with Tottenham after a brilliant cross from Luke Shaw.

United went into the game knowing that victory would narrow the gap to leaders Manchester City to just 11 points.

Despite Edison Cavani having a goal ruled out for an innocuous foul, United took the game to their opponents and goals from Fred and Cavani gave them a 2-1 lead during the second half.

And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team should have extended their lead shortly after. A corner was only half-cleared by Tottenham and found Shaw on the left flank.

The England international brilliantly flicked a deep cross with the outside of his foot towards Bruno Fernandes, who cushioned the ball across the six-yard box to Pogba.

Unfortunately, the midfielder attempted a backheeled shot that was blocked by Eric Dier.
