Watch: Paul Pogba starts to dab thinking McTominay shot is going in

Manchester United's Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba appeared to get a bit ahead of himself as Manchester United played Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday night, going for his famous dab celebration as a Scott McTominay shot trickled onto the post.

Pogba was back in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting line-up for the game in Bergamo after missing out against Tottenham at the weekend.

And the first half, as Manchester United looked for an equaliser, the Frenchman played a pass to fellow midfielder McTominay, whose shot went straight into the midriff of a Ataltanta defender.

With the deflection, though, the ball at first appeared destined for the corner of the net. And as it rolled towards the goal, Pogba appeared to dab, in part for a better look at the ball, but perhaps in an overly eager celebration.

Only Pogba will really know whether he was just craning his neck to have a look or if instincts suddenly took over and sent him back into the midsts of 2015’s shittest internet dance craze.
