Watch: Mauricio Pochettino reveals he wants to return as Tottenham manager

Mauricio Pochettino says he is ready for a new project in football management but admits he yearns to one day finish the job he started at Tottenham.

Having revitalised Tottenham after taking charge of the club in 2014, establishing Spurs as top four regulars in the Premier League and reaching the Champions League final last season, Pochettino was sacked in November after a poor start to 2019-20.

Jose Mourinho was appointed as the Argentine’s replacement, bringing about some signs of improvement, albeit still feeling very ‘Jose Mourinho’.

Pochettino, meanwhile, has been linked with the Newcastle United job should their Saudi takeover be completed, and he told BT Sport he is now ready to return – but there will always be one job he has an eye on.
