Watch: Mesmerising Barcelona build-up play during victory over Eibar

Barcelona defeated Eibar on Saturday, moving them a huge 20 points clear of Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League clash with Chelsea in the week.

Real in fact now sit fourth in the La Liga table, with Barca 10 points ahead of second-placed Atletico, though both have games in hand over the front runners.

It looks unlikely that Ernesto Valverde’s side will be caught, though, with the Catalan club still unbeaten in the Spanish top flight.

And goals from Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba – sandwiching a Fabian Orellana red card for the hosts – took them to a 2-0 win away at Eibar before their last 16 European tie.

But as well as Lionel Messi’s wonderful assist for Suarez, one piece of particular build-up play also caught our eye. Unfortunately, it didn’t lead to a goal, but if it did it would possibly have been one of the goals of the season.
