Watch: Mo Salah’s insane acceleration to track back & stop Porto counter

Planet Football •

Mo Salah may have had a frustrating night in front of goal – but the forward showed he wasn’t prepared to shirk his defensive duties in Liverpool‘s 2-0 victory over Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

First half goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino secured a comfortable first leg victory for Liverpool in their Champions League quarter-final with the Portuguese outfit at Anfield.

With the score still at 1-0, Salah was presented with a golden opportunity to grab a goal of his own, only to drag his shot wide.

But the Egypt international wasn’t going to ignore the importance of his defensive work, displaying incredible pace to get back and stop a Porto counter-attack.

Watch his Road Runner impression below.
