Watch: Liverpool’s Mo Salah scores all-time great solo goal vs Man City

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah scored a goal that will likely rank among the greatest solo efforts in Premier League history during his side’s game against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Salah, who had already contributed a stunning assist for Sadio Mane’s opener earlier in the game, added to his breath-taking performance against the Premier League champions with a strike that’s arguably the best of his now 134 goals for the club.

The Egyptian’s moment of brilliance came in the 76th minute of the contest with the game poised at 1-1, when he received the ball on the edge of the penalty area before skipping through three City players. He then burst into the box and finished off the move by then taking the ball beyond centre-back Aymeric Laporte and finally hammering it to far post, beyond the reach of visiting goalkeeper Ederson.

Unfortunately for Liverpool fans, however, Salah’s sensational effort was not enough to secure the victory for the home side as Kevin de Bruyne levelled that game up again five minutes later, with the game ending 2-2 – a result which sees Liverpool remain in second place on the Premier League table.
