Watch: Patrice Evra raves about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer work at Man Utd
Manchester United extended their unbeaten run to 15 games with a 3-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday night – and Patrice Evra was clearly a happy man.
Mason Greenwood scored a fine individual goal to put United ahead at the Amex Stadium before Bruno Fernandes added a brace to cap another fine performance and make it six goals and four assists from his first eight Premier League games.
That is more direct goal contributions than any other player in the league and, more importantly, made it five wins and three draws for United since the Portugal playmaker joined the club.
The Red Devils have also now kept eight clean sheets from their past 13 league games, more than they managed in their first 40 under Solskjaer, and Evra was full of praise for Solskjaer and Fernandes in particular after the game.
The former United left-back spoke of the smiles on the players’ faces, which he says is part of the club DNA, while he also warned against people suggesting Greenwood is playing ‘out of position’ on the wing, stating he should be delighted just to be playing at his age.
