Watch: Paul Scholes has cheeky dig at Jose Mourinho over Anthony Martial

Paul Scholes had a cheeky dig at Jose Mourinho after Manchester United progressed to the Europa League semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Copenhagen on Monday night.

United were made to work hard for their victory in Cologne, requiring Bruno Fernandes’ extra-time penalty to secure the win, having earlier seen a penalty overturned and goal ruled out by VAR.

Fernandes and Mason Greenwood also each hit the post, while Marcus Rashford saw another goal disallowed.

Anthony Martial won the decisive penalty converted by Fernandes and earned praise from former United striker Robin van Persie on BT Sport.

When Van Persie mentioned that Martial was struggling under Mourinho at Old Trafford, Scholes couldn’t help but offer a withering, “Who wasn’t?” in reply.
