Watch: Pedro Neto almost gets assist of the season with beautiful rabona cross

Wolves will feel frustrated to have left the West Midlands derby against Aston Villa empty-handed, especially after Pedro Neto produced this moment of divine inspiration late on.

Villa came away from Molineux with all three points after converting a late injury-time penalty, but 15 minutes earlier it was Nuno Espirito Santo’s men that came so close to opening the scoring, and in wonderful style too.

Taking the ball into the box, Pedro Neto turned Matty Cash one way and the other before totally bamboozling the Villa full-back with a rabona cross towards the penalty spot.

Neto executed it perfectly to float it in at the perfect height for Leander Dendoncker to volley home towards goal. But Emiliano Martinez was equal to it, making an excellent reaction save.

If only, Wolves.
