Watch: Rob Holding accuses ‘brick sh*thouse’ Adama Traore of diving

Arsenal centre-back Rob Holding mirrored the frustrations of thousands of fans on Sunday night after a prickly encounter with Wolves winger Adama Traore at the Emirates earned him a booking.

An eventful first-half saw the visitors’ star striker Raul Jimenez receive 10 minutes of treatment on the pitch following a clash of heads with David Luiz.

Pedro Neto fired Nuno Espirito Santo’s men in front moments after the stoppage, reacting quickest after Leander Dendonker’s header had smacked the bar.

Gabriel headed in a wonderful equaliser from a Willian cross just three minutes later, but Mikel Arteta’s side still went in at the break trailing, as Daniel Podence pounced on another loose ball to cooly finish past Bernd Leno.

Arsenal never looked like getting back into the game after half-time, with Wolves looking more likely to increase their lead on the counter-attack.

During one such breakaway, Traore threatened to stretch his legs down the left following an Arsenal set-piece, only for Holding to stop him in his track.

The 25-year-old clearly felt as though the muscular Spanish international had hit the deck too easily, however. As he retreated, Holding was clearly heard saying: “He’s built like a brick shithouse! How’s he gone down like that?”
