Roy Keane during his time as Ireland assistant manager

Watch: Roy Keane hilariously mimics Man Utd’s Harry Maguire in irate rant

Roy Keane used his appearance on the Sky coverage of Manchester United‘s game at Tottenham this Saturday to vent his spleen on the club’s recent performances and the reaction to them from United’s senior players.

Keane was of course mainly referring to the 5-0 mauling at the hands of Liverpool at Old Trafford on October 24, one of the most embrassing losses in United’s history.

He went on a long, angry rant, before turning on the reaction to the game that senior players like Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire showed during the week following the drubbing.

Of Maguire, Keane said that the England defender was “like a robot”, before embarking on a highly amusing impression of Maguire’s robotic resposnses to difficult questions, putting on his best Yorkshire accent as he did.

“There was no emotion behind [Maguire’s words],” Keane added.

You can be sure as hell that would not be the case if the Irish former midfielder were still captain of the club that he played for from 1993 until 2005.
