Arsenal are absolutely dominating Everton in the Premier League’s evening kick-off, but the away side could have had a glimmer of hope if it weren’t for Shkodran Mustafi.
Theo Walcott, making a swift return to the club he left to join Everton, had scored twice on his debut as his new club defeated Leicester City, and looked set to add another goal to his tally at the Emirates.
Everton caught Arsenal out with a swift move as Oumar Niasse played Walcott in with a smart pass on the half-turn, setting him away on the halfway line.
And the pacey winger bore down on goal before beating the backtracking Nacho Monreal as he cut back onto his favoured right foot.
Just as he got his goalbound shot away, in came Mustafi with an incredible sliding challenge to deny the 27-year-old a goal against Arsenal less than a week after leaving the club.
A massive pat on the back if you get all of these.
