Watch: Sissoko shows incredible desire to make full-blooded tackle on Kovacic

Moussa Sissoko’s resurgence at Tottenham this season continued with another impressive display in the 3-1 victory over Tottenham – summed up by one brilliant tackle on Mateo Kovacic.

Sissoko has been a much-maligned figure at times since joining Spurs two years ago in a £30million deal from Newcastle, where his attitude had also been questioned at times.

Just last week, we couldn’t help but chuckle at a particularly clumsy challenge which saw the midfielder concede a penalty for France.

However, the 29-year-old is enjoying the best spell of his Spurs career this season and excelled as the north Londoners inflicted a first Premier League defeat of the season on rivals Chelsea.

Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min bagged the goals for the dominant hosts, but Sissoko summed up the side’s energetic display by producing an eye-catching tackle on opposite number Kovacic which will have no doubt delighted Spurs supporters.
