Watch: The streets won’t forget Adel Taarabt at QPR
English football has been blessed by some of the most skilful players to have ever played the game, but no one did it quite like Adel Taarabt at QPR.
We’ve checked out Taarabt in our latest YouTube reaction video and you won’t want to miss this one.
The Moroccan star had arguably the greatest Championship season of all time as he scored 19 goals and produced 21 assists as QPR were promoted.
The showboating nature of the midfielder made him an instant hit at Loftus Road.
From stepovers to rainbow flicks and nutmegs, it was like having a football freestyler in the Championship.
The eccentric Moroccan star started his career at Lens before he was picked up by Spurs in January 2007.
Having made 16 appearances for Spurs across three seasons with the club, he was sent on loan to QPR in the 08/09 season.
QPR took him back the following season on loan before committing to a permanent deal in 2010 for a reported £1 million.

Taarabt is one of only three Championship players to have ever scored and assisted more than 15 goals in the same season and he did it with relative ease.
After QPR’s promotion to the Premier League, things weren’t exactly smooth sailing for the skilful midfielder.
In 2014 Harry Redknapp branded Taarabt as the “worst professional” he had ever come across as the Moroccan playmaker struggled to get match fit.
After a war of words between the player and manager, Taarabt was sold to Benfica in 2015 where he still plays to this day.
Taarabt might not have been the most professional of footballers, but boy was he entertaining to watch.
